a new beginning, just not yet...

            TUESDAY 3/3/2020 11:18 AM--slowly but surely building a work area for recording...might have the microphone by the end of the day...I have no idea whatsoever when I'm actually gonna get started...
4:13 PM--got the mic today, probably gonna send it back...to do what I wanna do, I need a real mic...and have (at least) two...I need speakers (got 'em) some kinda USB doodad (got it) and a mic mixer, which I've got...I might not have enuff room on the cabinet for the mixer, so I need a very small table or stand of some sort...and I need an extension cord so I can plug the speakers in...all of it is useless w/o the cables...it's always something...
10:09 PM--I might have the cables I need somewhere in the basement; trying NOT to go look now...I need to wait until tomorrow...Lou & I might go to Hershey's tomorrow evening--Jackie won't be there...
WEDNESDAY 3/4/2020 4 PM--I bought a necessary cable, and a (hopefully) high quality extension cord...the speakers are plugged in and (I cautiously assume) working...I'm getting closer...
4:26 PM--the mixer is plugged in and it works...I think all I have to do is plug the red thingie into the laptop, then plug a mic (or instrument) into the mixer, get Audacity up and running and I think I'm ready for...whatever...
6:40 PM--Dianne's probably going out tomorrow evening, so I should too...I just don't know where I wanna go... the singer/songwriter thing is going on at the OTWC...I think a regular open mic will be happening at the Grape Escape...I suppose I could do both...the Plan is to record somebody with the Zoom...we'll see...
8:29 PM--I'm definitely feeling like the George Harrison of the FHB...looked down upon by some members of the band...and now Stoney is upset because I've sorta called his ability to sing harmonies into question...it's NOT his best thing...but it might be MY best thing...there's lotsa "better" guitarists in MontCo, better lead singers, performers with WAY better stage presence...harmony singers? I'm in the top five, easily...
            I still might be a dammed good drummer, outta shape though I am...oh well, at some point I gotta answer Stoney's e-mail--I guess...frankly, I'd rather focus on the LCB reunion and/or Ray's March shows, which start next Wednesday...I DO wanna attend one of the shows that Carolyn may come to...and I think I wanna be at the show where Mike Vinson will be...Carolyn is scheduled to attend on the 13th (at Brian Boru) and 14th (Galway Bay)...Mike will hopefully be at Galway Bay on the 15th...my plans are uncertain, but I'd like to be with Ray and whoever on the 13th and 15th...
    We'll see, in a week or so...by which time the acoustic will have new strings on it...
