piece o' cake
FRIDAY 9/27/19 10AM--tonight's gig with Stu should be a piece of cake compared to last night's 4th Thursday at the OTWC...hope I didn't just jinx it...anyway, nap time is scheduled to start by 12:30 or so...unless the counter measuring guy is here...
4:05PM--not sure how long it lasted, but it was a good enough nap...Dinner is coming up soon...gotta pick an outfit, jeans are OK...in spite of a dream I had--the band leader at the gig (not Stu) was miffed that I had worn jeans...weird...I checked with Stu himself-jeans are OK...
SATURDAY 9/28/19 12:41AM--my first gig with Stu in quite a few years is history...the drummer (Rich) is/was a VERY good harmony singer...I MIGHT maybe possibly be joining them next month at a gig with Jim, Eileen and Jeff AND John Reeve...I probably won't get paid, IF I play--but I don't care, not now at least...the only thing that kinda bothers me is that the audience has no idea that 1) Stu and I haven't done a gig in years and 2) I just met the drummer this evening...
The crowd seemed to like us...*I* think that under the circumstances, we were pretty damn good...wanna be in bed in about 30 minutes...
11:48AM--recovering from last night's gig...I don't expect to be going out tonight...hoping to be napping before one o'clock...
MONDAY 9/30/19--as far as *I* know the Combustibles are still "go" for practice tomorrow at 7PM ...I guess there's a gig coming up...

in the dark
WEDNESDAY 9/25/19 2:50PM--still dunno if there's practice...I'm not gonna assume anything, if I can help it...
4:20PM--STILL dunno if there's practice...how I LOVE being part of something, like a Community of Musicians...
4:34PM--it's possible that there WON'T be any band practice, I'm not sure why...and I don't care...
7PM--in the back of my head, I felt as though there was something special about Friday 9/27...turns out there is--a gig with Stu Judd...at the Laurel American Legion, wherever in Laurel that may be...it may be an acoustic gig--a bit of a bummer, but I already said "yes"--and, of course, I can use the money...for all *I* know, I might be able to use my electric gear after all...that would be nice...a lot can happen in two days...
9:13PM--I just remembered--Jackie is/was hosting the open mic at Hershey's...son of a bitch...well, the Universe made it's decision, right? And Life seems hectic enough w/o adding an open mic to my schedule...having a gig on Thursday night AND Friday night is plenty hectic enuff...
THURSDAY 9/26/19 8:08AM--I'm not sure, but I'm starting to think I'm just a nobody...all the things I thought made me a teeny bit special, don't...LOTSA people play guitar, LOTSA people "doodle", and LOTSA people take pictures...LOTSA people make albums...as far as I can tell, only two Musicians appreciate my Musical ability--Ray and Stu...and sometimes I'm not sure about them...
FRIDAY 9/27/19 1:51AM--the open mic went well enough for me...now I can focus on tonight's gig with Stu...just might take the ME-70...Coleen says she's gonna be there...we'll see...wanna get home from Laurel ASAP...I have to get up early Saturday morning...oh well...I don't have plans for Saturday night that *I* know of...

Lindburgh was alone
MONDAY 9/23/19 9:49AM--cooked up another keyboard practice CD...just under an hour's worth of songs...don't yet know if it came out ok, but I'll likely find out soon enough...
11:37AM--it seems to be working fine, I just wish I knew what that crackling noise is--like one of the many cables I'm using is failing, if gradually...
I'm definitely not feeling like a member of the local Music community...and it still hurts...I may be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jeff Jones takes credit for discovering Liliana...I should start working on the upcoming open mic night...the good news is that I know any of the Beatles songs that the singers are gonna pick...MY first choice is THANK YOU GIRL, my second choice is COME TOGETHER...I think there's a practice on Wednesday...
2:38PM--once the worker guys leave, I think I'm gonna go downstairs and see if I can record my KB practice performances...me adding keyboards to various songs...I thought about trying to take a video first...then I remembered I could just do audio...I AM kinda curious which method would yield the best sounding results, but I suspect an audio only recording will use less phone battery juice...
It didn’t work the way I hoped it would and there’s some kinda recurring glitch that I have NO idea how to fix...so recording a practice session seems to be outta the question...and the practice sessions themselves are interrupted by the glitch...now I remember-it’s MONDAY...
7:07PM--If I put the new playlist on my phone I won't need the CD...I'll work on that once the phone has a full charge in it...
TUESDAY 9/24/19 9:40AM--still waiting for the absolutely final list for the open mic at the OTWC on Thursday...unless I've already gotten it...I used to get excited about the 4th Thursdays...nowadays? not so much...
12:18PM--gotta put KB practice on hold a bit and work on the open mic songs...after the guys leave and/or after Dinner...I hope I'm wrong but HERE COMES THE SUN in the key of D might be a challenge...
1:05PM--nap time is about an hour from now...so I guess I can practice a bit...TEN MINUTES LATER--it turns out that HERE COMES THE SUN IN D is pretty darned easy...and so is OH DARLING in F...I wonder if the song list has changed again...I wouldn't be surprised...

I wouldn't be ashamed
SATURDAY 9/21/19 8:30PM--the band FILM AT ELEVEN was pretty good, although I only saw about an hour's worth...I was not familiar with some of the songs they played, but the band sounded fairly tight...they played DREAM ON fairly well, although I've never liked the song all that much...On the other hand BOYS OF SUMMER was pretty dammed rough...but they immediately made up for it with RENEGADE by Styx...soon I'll be headed for Quincy's...
So anyway, I’m at Quincy’s... the TOO EXTRA band is pretty good... I’m sitting with Jeff Jones and Iliana...they seem to be having a good time together...I don’t know how long I'm going to stay…Obviously Iliana is in good company...
SUNDAY 9/22/19 12:48 AM--stayed about two hours I think...the guitar player was especially good IMO...that was pretty depressing and it turns out that Iliana is very talented as a photographer...I feel really stupid for having shown her my photos and doodles...
11:41AM--I seriously considered going to Annapolis to hang out with Ray, but right NOW, it doesn't seem like a good idea...It's a long drive in 90 degree weather, parking could turn out to be expensive, it might make me feel better than I do now, but that won't last long...it takes a certain amount of gasoline, which costs money...it would really mess up my Dinner schedule...and there's no guarantee that I would get paid even $20 to cover gas or parking or whatever...and I really don't feel like doing anything..except sleeping...
6:16PM- except I got up from my nap and went downstairs to do some keyboard practice… Managed to hit the chords from the bridge to Slave to the Rhythm instantly ... coolest thing to happen all day...
MONDAY 9:49AM--cooked up another keyboard practice CD...just under an hour's worth of songs...don't yet know if it came out ok, but I'll likely find out soon enough...

why should I?
FRIDAY 9/20/19 8:10PM--I was talking to a "friend" about the album he made...I expressed some interest in hearing it--until I saw all the other "friends" of mine who appear on it...and yet another so-called friend was telling me about the album he's planning on making...maybe I missed it, but I didn't hear an invitation to play on it...he has emotional/mental issues--that's not his fault...
Maybe I'm not nearly as talented as I think I am, by which I mean fairly talented...I've never said nor will I ever say I'm a Musical genius, and I've never said my abilities were exceptional...but I've heard from quite a few Musician "friends" over the years that I was really good...now I suspect they are just trying to feed me bullshit, I dunno why Humans would do that to each other...although I may have been guilty of that myself--but why would I deliberately hurt someone's feelings?
I totally understand the idea that "the audience decides" what's "good" and what's not...I wanna agree with that, but I can't...when *I* think I stink, that's the opinion that matters the most to me...I won't argue with someone who seems to be knocked out by what I do, but I'll take it with a grain of salt...why do people treat me like a someone who's not right in the head?? maybe it's my looks...allegedly "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"...I'm not sure I believe THAT BS either...
In the past two days I've met two very different women who seemed to enjoy either my Musical ability (Elizabeth) or my company (Liliana) but I have no idea whatsoever when I'll see either of then again, if at all...
SATURDAY 9/21/19 3:35PM--why should I go to any of my Musician "friends' " gigs? *I* can't think of a reason...none of them has EVER come to a gig by any of the bands I'm in, unless you count the 4th Thursday Band gigs, but that's an open mic, not exactly a gig...they come to those so THEY can perform...
4:21PM--now there are TWO bands I wanna see playing tonight...one is about a mile up the road, the other is at Rio...the band at Rio starts at about six o'clock, the one at Quincy's starts at 9:30...Parking at Rio might be problematic...I won't know until I get there...

it's nice to be appriciated
THURSDAY 9/19/19 7:42AM--went to Killarney House last night; it's a longer trip when yer alone...but it was worth it...the best "crazy Chester" verse I've ever sung, I think...it sure felt good to feel wanted...I don't get that feeling in my neighborhood...
I dunno if I'm going anywhere tonight, but I suspect I'm gonna want to after all the noise the workers are gonna make here...I'll likely go to the OTWC, but I doubt that I'm gonna bring any gear...I'm kinda stuck in the Office...Mind you, I'm grateful I've got somewhere to go tonight, if I need/want to...I kinda feel like singing...
A young (very good) female singer has said a few nice things about me on FB Messenger...I sorta invited her to the OTWC...Maybe I'll just do some singing tonight, except that I feel uncomfortable standing in front of a microphone w/o a guitar...
4:25PM--just finished KB practice...struggled some, but nailed the chorus(?) of RIDE LIKE THE WIND almost instantly...go figure...
I'm kinda getting excited about going out somewhere tonight...I wonder if Pete is hosting at the Grape Escape...should check FB to find out...SLIGHTLY LATER--I think he is, but I haven't been to the OTWC lately, so...
FRIDAY 9/20/19 9:49AM--went to the OTWC...didn't play or sing a single note, but I had a very good time nonetheless...and I have no plans to go out tonight, and probably not Saturday either...
NOW maybe I can focus on the 4th Thursday open mic...there's only week to go...
4:36PM--there's a band I wanna see playing tonight, but my ears need a night off...there's a band I've never heard of playing tomorrow night about a mile or so up the road at a place I said I'd never be seen in again...but I might go anyway...Dianne is going to see her folks for Sunday brunch...I guess I'm not going...that's unusual...I wonder if there's gonna be a Gazebo Jam...maybe I'd go to that...
That band that's playing real close by tomorrow night seems to be really good, according to the video sampler I just watched...I'm already depressed enough about some of my current musical activity, why make it worse, right? If they'll let me, maybe I'll video them and (only with their permission) post it on Flakebook...maybe some of my many band mates will see it and get to thinking...

as I expected
TUESDAY 9/17/19 11:25PM--got home from the Silver Spring gig about 30 minutes ago...almost to the minute when I hoped I would get home...ears ringing pretty good, apparently my guitar amp was a bit too loud, until someone pointed that out to me...my keyboard playing was about what I figured it would be, not horrible, but still pretty sloppy...I think that the worst song I played on was the one I had worked on the most--AT LAST...go figure...
The Stagg fell out of Mike's vehicle--TWICE...it worked after the first fall...at some point I'll check on it...The load-in and load-out were IMO grueling, but there were no major hassles...I STILL don't think the band is as good as the other band members think we are, but I'm learning to just go with the flow...I believe there will be vids on Flakebook...Because of the Xanax I guess, I wasn't nearly as nervous as I normally would be...
The videos indicate that the keyboard wasn't loud enough...lesson learned I guess...kinda surprised no one mentioned THAT...the keyboard is back in the basement, all hooked up...Butterscotch is in my room where it belongs...The amp and the Stagg are still in the trunk, but should be back downstairs by Lunchtime, more or less...
10AM--still planning to go to Killarney House this evening--provided I get a halfway decent nap...I dunno if I'm gonna perform any...if I don't, that's probably OK...so far, I have two songs I might play...dunno exactly when I'm gonna leave, but I'm pretty sure all I'm taking is my acoustic guitar and a pair stomp boxes...
3:54PM--ran the Stagg test...as far as I can tell, it's still works...I kinda wanna play an original song at the KH open mic...I hope I'll come to my senses before I get to Davidsonville...I've got a full tank of gas and a few bucks in my pocket...I hope I'm surprising Ray, but I think I already told him I might be coming...

yin/yang
MONDAY 9/16/19 3:50PM--prepping for tomorrow's gig, in a low key way...I could play better than perfectly and it wouldn't make a difference...and I won't play perfectly, unless I practice from now until bedtime...
I'm still hoping to go see Ray on Wednesday evening, at his open mic (!) and maybe play a song or two myself...I think THAT will be a gig to remember...Killarney House isn't as far a ride as Pirates Cove...
8:35PM--I wonder if I should be practicing right now...maybe I'll go for 20 minutes then stop..
9:21PM--went longer than twenty minutes, but I think it was worth it...I plan to use the dots for two specific chords in BLACK VELVET...hopefully the tempos will make my job easier...I expect to get some practice in tomorrow, how much I have no idea how much though...
TUESDAY 9/1/19 7:35AM--well, whatever's gonna happen is what's gonna happen...I think I might start prepping for the gig a little at a time...my guitar amp is already in the trunk...I'm not taking the ME70 or the wireless stuff...the Manchester bag is also in the car, but I need to go thru it to make sure I've got what I need for today's gig...and ONLY what I need for today's gig...It may not seem like it, but I'm trying to take a minimalist approach...
9:07AM--gathered up the "paperwork" for the gig--the set list, cheat sheet for TAKE IT EASY...
12:13PM--the Manchester bag is loaded up and ready to go...there's a single gtr. stand and mic stand already in the trunk...as is the amp...need to find my Microphone...
1:00PM--found it...I'm going to my room between 1:30 and two o'clock...I really wanna get a bit of a nap, but don't expect to...
Friday, September 13, 2019
don't get cocky/finally finally finally!
FRIDAY 9/13/19 7:51 AM--inspired by one of the performers I saw last night, I'm considering playing VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR the next time I'm at Pete's open mic...I wanna do something unexpected--that would likely fill that requirement, right?
9:33AM--it has taken about an hour and a half, but I created a Word document version of the set list for next Tuesday's ACME band gig...I guess I'd better start practicing those songs...
12:36PM--way back in the early 80s Luther Vandross had a hit record called STOP TO LOVE...there is a riff in it that has haunted me since then...the KB patch labeled "12-String Guitar" is (IMO) the sound used for the riff...and I believe I found the notes...in addition, I was scrolling thru the patch library to find patches that were, er, uh, unusual, or not sounds that a REAL instrument would make...it's gonna take awhile to go thru all of them...maybe I'll continue with that later...
SUNDAY 9/15/19 12:18AM--just got back from Ray's gig at Pirates Cove...inevitably I played (some) and sang a bit...but the BIG news is that Carolyn Krohn Moyer was there!!! At one point I shared a mic with her!!!...and we chatted a bit...maybe it’s wishful thinking, but *I* think we would be compatible...if she only knew how I feel...being a Woman, she might already know...of course, I'm still ME, financially, emotionally, the way I look...an hour away and most importantly--even though I'm NOT, I'm kinda sorta in a way, very nearly almost married...
Dinner with Dianne was nice...for reasons that are too much to go into right now, Di and I mutually agreed that we would start for home at Ten o'clock...it was about 10:15...on the way out we chatted with a couple (and a friend of theirs?) about, among other things, how good a guitarist I was...turns out the couple traveled a bit further than we did-- from Germantown...
ALL things considered, I actually think we stayed long enough...Di and I got there at about 7:15, had Dinner outside on the deck, then moved inside...Ray and the gang had been playing a few minutes already...
8:06AM-now I’m having some trouble NOT thinking about Carolyn and the sit-in with Ray...I’m pretty sure I will be back to “normal” tomorrow morning...
Thursday, September 12, 2019
we can get THAT done, maybe
THURSDAY 9/12/19 7:08 AM--well, I should be able to put new strings on the acoustic--I found the needle-nose pliers...I need them to remove the end pins...I hope to have 'em on possibly before 9AM...or if not then, by the time Dianne gets back home...
I broke a string trying to put it on the acoustic guitar; so I have to go to Victor Litz and buy a single string – that’s fucked up… In other news, apparently the fourth Thursday open mic will feature the music of the Beatles...I was not told of this, I found out through the Flakebook grapevine... it feels like I have way fewer friends then I thought I had end and that wasn’t very many in the first place…I guess the Herbert/Geshen partnership is History...I wonder what I did wrong>>>
NOON-got a pair of high "E" strings from Litz...and a Piano Chord Chart...it may be the smartest KB purchase yet...I don't feel like playing at the open mic yet, but if Dianne goes out tonight, I will too...I DO wanna break in the new strings, in case I end up playing with Ray Saturday evening...If I don't put 'em on right after Lunch, I'll do it after the nap I think I need so much...
12:47PM--I guess I should think about songs...I'm just so tired...I got outta bed this morning at about 6:15 and have been doing stuff ever since...now I'm hearing from the 4TH Thursday guest singers...Arlene may be a "professional"singer, if getting paid defines professionalism, but it doesn't mean she's a good singer...of course that is my OPINION, but I absolutely refuse to believe that I'm completely alone in feeling that way...
9PM (?) So I did a three (?) song set at the Grape Escape open mic...For the first time ever, I SCAT sang what would have been the harmonica solo in LMYR...it went surprisingly well IMO...I think the whole set did...and don’t forget I didn’t practice the songs AT ALL...I decided at almost the last minute before I left the house what songs I might do...maybe I’m getting cocky, but-who needs Lou or Barry or Jeff H.? And maybe the audience was being nice, but I got a bunch of compliments...
11:04PM--I'm already looking forward to the next acoustic open mic, be it Pete's or someone else's...maybe I WILL just bring my acoustic to Ray's open mic at Killarney on 9/18...maybe I'll have some songs ready...of course, as always, a lot can happen in a week or so...
Tuesday, September 10, 2019
THAT should be innaresting/think twice
TUESDAY 9/10/19 7:07PM--to some degree, my keyboard skills have taken the day off...oh well...but they'll be back, soon I hope...
Just heard from Stu--I'll be playing a gig with him on the 27th--three miles away from Killarney House...dunno about the money, if there is any...don't care all that much...I've clearned it with Barry, Dave and Butch--Dianne too...
That's two different Musicians who apparently have some respect for my ability, whether they actually like me or not...then again, who would play Music with people they didn't like? (COUGH)
9:21PM--When Dianne and I decided to go see Ray, I indicated that *I* was going as a member of the audience...she expressed the idea that I SHOULD bring my acoustic, and be prepared to play...We both know that she doesn't enjoy sitting there by herself when I'm "onstage"...
I'm planning on going by myself on one of the other days he'll be playing--hopefully I'll be going to Killarney House with the electric guitar...we'll see...
9/11/19 8:36AM--just for laughs, I went to the basement to see if I've got a handle on BLACK VELVET...it went smoothly, including the switch from one patch to another...that's encouraging...
12:54PM-- first Dianne wants to go see Ray on Saturday night...and now she wants to go see 49 Cent Dress on Friday night...that got me fantasizing about being in THAT Band...doing the same thing I do in the ACME Band Co.
WEDNESDAY 9/11/19 1:02PM--gonna take a nap soon, hopefully for longer than an hour...Fender has reissued the Electric XII--*I* dunno why, but I REALLY want one...I need to focus on the idea that I don't NEED one...I am not in a Byrds tribute band, or a Tom Petty tribute band...I don't play STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN in any of the bands I'm in...it's not perfect, but the octave patch on the ME-70 gets the job done well enough..."Because I want one" is NOT a good reason to buy one, right?
5:50PM--I removed all the colored dots from the keyboard...SUPERSTITION is fairly ingrained in my head and fingers...AT LAST is getting there...In both cases, I experimented with chord inversions...I think AT LAST works best with what I think is the 1st inversion...I don't know if what I'm doing with SUPERSTITION is the first second or third inversion, but it's what I'm used to, so I'll likely stick with it...just gotta keep practicing...IF I’m taking the acoustic to Ray’s Saturday gig, I gotta put new strings on it...hopefully tomorrow...
Sunday, September 8, 2019
still making some progress
SUNDAY 9/8/19 12:37PM--so I went to the basement and labeled the power chords that I felt needed to be labeled...and I also determined how high the KB stand should be if *I* am gonna be standing, like at the upcoming ACME gig on 9/17, which is a week from this coming Tuesday...maybe I'll take inventory/start packing the ACME stuff today...or tomorrow after my appointment with Malinsky...and I wanna do a sound check as well...
I was thinking about how any trio of notes can be two or three different chords...I'm wondering if the one piano book I've bought so far has the same info...except that now, when I want it, I can't find it...I wanna get another more comprehensive Piano Chord book...if such a thing exists...
MONDAY 9/9/19 4:30PM--and so I went to Pritchard's and got another one...I'm mad at myself for not practicing the ACME stuff more...the gig is a week away, *I* think I've got time...but the sound check didn't happen...oh well...If I'm this nervous about a rehearsal, wait until the morning of the gig...where's the Xanax?
TUESDAY 9/10/19 7:50AM--Rehearsal went pretty much the way I thought it would...it feels like a very lonely existence...due to reasons I can barely explain, I could barely hear my keyboard...that worries me, quite a bunch...I NEED to hear what I'm playing, I don't yet know the keyboard well enough that seeing where my fingers are is good enough...some of MY playing was riddled with mistakes, to some degree for that reason...
10:36AM--Barry wants to practice on Sunday--Dianne has plans for me...Saturday isn't good either, we're going to see Ray that evening...
1:58PM--so the Combustibles are gonna practice w/o me on Sunday...my being there or not being there won't make a difference...I can almost guarantee I'll have more fun with Ray than with any of the bands I'm in...there's something wrong in there somewhere...
Friday, September 6, 2019
at least somebody wants me
FRIDAY 9/6/19 8:48PM--I think Dianne and I are going to see Ray next Saturday...I intend to sit in with him on a different night...I'd like to think he wants me to play guitar alongside him...At least someone does...I kinda resent possibly being lumped in with certain other "quirky" MontCo Musicians...Their names don't matter, *I* know who they are...I just don't think I SHOULD be mentioned in the same breath as those folks...
I wish I could act like I think I'm a big deal--in public that is...In reality I DO think I'm a pretty good Musician, but it's like my Dad once said, "Jack of all trades, master of none..." and I'm in the process of adding keyboard player to my resumé...A big regret is not learning how to play drums the "right" way...I haven't played any drums lately...or Bass for that matter..Yeah, I still feel like one of MontCo's best kept Musical secrets....
SATURDAY 9/7/19 7PM--I feel like I've got lotsa lab work to do tomorrow and/or Monday...I wanna know if I can play my guitar thru the ME-70 and into my powered PA speaker...on the other hand, I don't wanna spend the whole two hour gig not liking the sound I might get...so maybe I'll keep the KB stuff and the guitar stuff separate...trying to "economize" equipment-wise may ultimately be a bad idea...but then, I and the rest of the players in the ACME Band will be doing a fair amount of work for a freebie, even if it's only for two hours...
I can't find any definitive info on playing an electric guitar thru my powered speaker, so I might try it tomorrow...Dianne won't be around...but I think she'll be back by 4:00, more or less...and I'm first gonna run the guitar thru the ME-70 THEN into the STAGG--maybe...It's actually more important to see what the KB sounds like running thru the STAGG...I should already know, but I don't really remember, it's been so long since I hooked them together...
Thursday, September 5, 2019
and now THAT'S not fun
THURSDAY 9/5/19 7 AM--had practice last night with what has been my favorite ongoing Musical adventure...it was not an enjoyable experience...I'm not even in control of the arrangements of songs *I* sing...how fucked up is that? It's hard to be in a band with these guys...and NO that doesn't mean I'M the one with a problem...but I'll keep quiet; I need the money...
And frankly, the weakest link in that band (IMO) is the guy at whose house we practice...and the rest of the guys flaunt their knowledge of Music theory, leaving me pretty much in semi-darkness...I guarantee that they think I'M the weakest link...maybe they're right...it's not fun; maybe it will be again at some point, but it's not now...
Ray is on his way over to America...he'll be here in about a week...I suspect Dianne and I will attend one of the shows...I figure I'll be playing at one of the other shows as well...In addition, the ACME Band has what I think is a big deal of a gig in slightly less than two weeks...I assume we're gonna practice at least once before that...oddly enough, that situation, in spite of the potential for screw-ups, makes me feel better about myself...in other news, Lou played solo at Hershey's open mic last night...
There's an open mic at the GRAPE Escape tonight...I might go, but the host will want me to do something--play a song, or play Bass, or whatever...I'm not gonna bring my acoustic, but Pete is liable to let me use his...he has in the past...if I can't take a shower before this afternoon's Dr.'s appointment, surely, I'll be able to take one before going to the Kentlands...
10:26PM--so I went to the open mic...I told Pete I didn't wanna do anything, and ultimately that's what I did...this time he didn't coerce me into performing...I got home at about 9:30 or so...
FRIDAY 9/6/19 9:31AM--not planning to go out tonight or tomorrow night...I don't thnk I have any band practices on Sunday, but I do believe I've got one on Monday...with the ACME Band Co., which means taking the keyboard and KB amp with me...I should start practicing the ACME keyboard songs, whatever they may be...that's what I'll be doing on Sunday...
I'm not feeling like a Musician lately...I don't think any of my so called friends think of me as a photographer, except (maybe) Janet--and SHE'S a real photographer...Angela calls herself a photographer, but all I've seen are photos taken in clubs at various local bands' shows... I don't know to judge those photos--is it Art or photojournalism? Not that photojournalism is easy...if it was, everyone would do it, right?
