the things we do for...what?

    THURSDAY 8/1/19 4:10PM--I'm learning  a song Barry wants to play tonight...it's not his, so perhaps for that reason  it's a bit challenging...let's just say I'll be glad when the night is over...especially when (IF) Barry and I discuss my future with the Combustibles...
    The keyboard practice sessions have a new location--the living room...I can put the KB on the coffee table and sit on the sofa...or (maybe) sit in "my chair" and put the KB on the "guest chair"--so as not to disturb the dog and/or cat...
     9:40PM-two sets with Barry down, one (?) to go...I had nothing else to do this evening, but I wish I had tried to FIND something else to do...
  FRIDAY 12:03AM--The Café was empty by 10PM if not earlier...I hung around until about 11:30 then went to Safeway and got fudgesicles--so I won't have to go later this morning... I don't think I've got anything Musical going later tonight...or tomorrow or Sunday, unless I'm forgetting something--and that's always a possibility nowadays...
    7:18AM--Dunno when, but I expect to be KB practicing in the living room later...I kinda forgot about the portable CD player/radio in the living room--a souvenir from my janitor job days...If I suddenly get in the mood to play...I wish Dave (the ACME Band Co.) hadn't made such a big deal outta my playing keys at our gig at Lahinch next Friday...thank Heaven it wasn't an FB post...it was just an e-mail sent to about 40 people...
  10:45AM--there is a photo of me and Barry from last night's open mic...the hat makes all the difference...
  3:55PM--so I did some more keyboard practicing with my iTunes Library and phone...it went well enough...the idea was to play songs I'd never play keys on before...I wasn't half bad IMO...at some point (SOON) I gotta start working on the ACME Band Co. songs--whatever they are...
    SATURDAY (?) 8/3/19 8PM- just got done doing some more keyboard practice… I’ve never played SHOW ME THE WAY by Peter Frampton before but it went well enough... there were others that I have never played before either and they didn’t sound half bad... of course, I was by myself, no one around watching/listening to me... it’s kinda like when I’m in the car singing and no one’s listening-if I could sing like that in public, I'd be in a well-known working band...and yeah, I might not have the reputation I think I have...I did a bit of that at the 4th Thursday open mic a week or so ago, singing the last verse of MY BACK PAGES...
   SATURDAY 7:30PM (?) Suddenly I decided to go to the OTWC... I wonder if I made a mistake...forgot the ear plugs...the good news is I’m not in front of the bands -I’m alongside them...I think the Bass is too loud...
10:12PM-the “headliners” are pretty good and not (yet) as loud...
MIDNIGHT--just got home...wanna be in bed just after 12:30AM...
SUNDAY 1:43PM--just finished Lunch...I went to the Crosby movie by myself...I left Bethesda at a few minutes after Noon...I kinda wanna get on with keyboard practice, and I might after my nap, however long it may last...I'll likely work in the basement...but I need to get serious tomorrow and Tuesday...somewhat suddenly, I'm a bit worried about AT LAST...so I expect to do my practicing in the living room on Monday...
