surprisingly smooth

     THURSDAY 8/15/19 11:38 AM--the gizmo/amp/wireless test went as well as I hoped it would...it's good to know that I won't have to do anymore testing...some guys are coming to work on the deck, but I dunno when, so the nap might not happen...we'll see...
12:39PM--feeling pretty darn happy right now...not getting a nap wouldn't bother me too much...the pants I hope to wear are clean and dry...the shower/shave project shouldn't take more than 30 minutes...There may have been a change in my Dinner plans...I guess I'll go to McDs--they're  faster than Wendy's, even if the food might not be as good...wanna be picking up my Dinner by 5:30...
      4:19PM--as I anticipated, I didn't really get a nap, whether I needed one or not...when I finish watching this particular episode of MASH I will start packing up my stuff--starting with the paperwork...if I need a mic stand, it's already in the trunk, as is the guitar stand...I might be bringing the amp stand, because I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need it, or something to elevate the amp, if only a little...I think the "milk crate" might work and it'll fit better in the car(s)...meaning mine and Mike's...
    I suspect I might have to feed the animals...loading the car comes first, hopefully Dianne will be home at about that time, the SHE can feed 'em...I hope I don't forget the Peppermint Pattie that's in the freezer, or a toothbrush...I hope I remember to take a Xanax before I leave the house...I've already got my ear plugs...I'm not sure why I've been so bent outta shape about this gig...not playing keys is a load off my Mind...Sue Johnstone will be there, for awhile anyway...I've played in front of her before...If the wireless breaks down in some manor, I'll just go back to being attached to my gear...
 FRIDAY 8/16/19 12:05 AM--got home from Mike's almost an hour ago, we carpooled to Greenbelt...I don't think I forgot anything, at the New Deal or Mike's house...ITN sounded better than ACME, but there were problems...some of the tempos were either too fast or too slow...the endings (and some starts) of songs were tentative...some of my mistakes were made because some patches were still quieter than others...I think I fixed some of them while playing...I came home with $60--a complete surprise...the wireless worked all evening long, but I never left the stage...I sang GREEN RIVER, and in a way that I would sound in the car--loose, relaxed...well, I can't keep my eyes open, so good night...
    10:35AM--as I knew he would, Dave thought the band did well--I assume he means Musically...I am successfully fighting the urge to let MY opinion bring me down...I did tell him I thought the tempos were a bit, er, uh, problematic...at some point, I must begin to focus on NEXT Thursday...I've been practicing singing GOIN' MOBILE in my head...I think it's gonna be pretty dammed good...
