THURSDAY 7/18/19 12:45 PM--still thinking of going out tonight--somewhere...The most likely destination is the Grape Escape...probably won't take my guitar, even IF it has new strings on it...it's not outta the question that I would go to the OTWC instead, I just wouldn't bet money on it...
4:09PM--so the acoustic DOES have new strings on it...it wasn't easy so I'll likely go to the Grape Escape to break 'em in...I suppose I should consider what songs *I* might play...unless I can weasel outta that...I don't have any problem being a sideman for other performers...
8:15PM-four songs, two OLD Beatles songs, two Neil songs...giving myself an “8”, no less...ultimately glad Pete made me go...
TWENTY MINUTES LATER-the euphoria is wearing off a little...maybe (MAYBE) if I didn’t have to be at the service station at 8AM I’d go to the OTWC...
10:31PM--I did some more playing at Pete's open mic--as a sideman...on Bass, harmonies and (finally) lead guitar...I don't expect to be in bed before Midnight, I need to wind down...
FRIDAY 7/19/19 12:14AM--I left the Grape Escape open mic feeling appreciated for my Musical ability...I had fun, and my work as a sideman rates a 9 if you ask me...
