FRIDAY 4/30/21 4PM-- put the new strings on the acoustic...it's never easy and today was no exception; I thought I was buying a lighter guage than usual, so maybe my fingertips wouldn't hurt quite as much...I'm not 100% sure it was my fault, but I accidently bought the same guage I usually buy, and they are a bit on the heavy side...it figures...well, they're on the guitar now and they're gonna stay there...and I'm a teeny bit excited/nervous about the Tuesday sit-in...
SATURDAY 5/1/21 10:37PM--I need to try yet again to stop visiting FB so much...seeing Musicians I know being sucessful in terms of visibility is quite depressing...or, as I've said before, maybe I'm not as good a guitar player as I thought I was...OR people don't like me as much as I thought they might...oh well...there are a few people *I* don't like as much as I thought I did...
SUNDAY 5/2/21 9:14AM-- getting more nervous about Tuesday...gotta check the equipment to make sure it's working...It turns out that my Chorus pedal is useless, dead...there is some good news...I have the financial means to buy a new one, and I have quite a few unused batteries...Guess I'll be going back to Litz tomorrow...hopefully I'll remember to get new acoustic bridge pins as well...
1:45PM--got the new bridge pins and a new Chorus...gonna check out the new Chorus pedal tomorrow mid-morning hopefully...that means plugging it into the amp, which hasn't been turned on in over a year--I really hope IT works the way it should...buying a new acoustic(whether I NEED it or not) is one thing, buying a new amp would kinda suck...
6:10PM--did some "mixing"...an extended version of BACK OFF BOOGALOO w/loop...I'd give it an "8" on a scale of 10...
10:45PM-tried again...this time I'd give it a "9" on a scale of 10...
